There were a great many variants amongst Sd.Kfz.250 halftrack family. As
well as the catalogued official factory-produced variants, sometimes
field modifications were also made to the halftrack, and one such type
is featured in Dragon’s latest item: Sd.Kfz.250 NEU mit 5cm PaK 38.
This field conversion had the rear compartment stretched to accommodate
the 5cm cannon, and this change is accurately reflected. The interior
has received a makeover as well, including a new layout for ammunition
stowage cases, for example. Furthermore, Magic Tracks are included in
the box for the sake of modelers’ convenience and accuracy. A
3D-printing muzzle brake is offered as bonus. Metal width indicator
poles are included free as well. This variant of the Sd.Kfz.250 has a
completely new appearance and, therefore, for those modelers seeking a
halftrack with enhanced impact, this kit is the perfect choice.
