The model F-104 G Recce in 1/72 scale has a length of about 231 mm. Decals for 3 versions. The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is one of the most famous fighters in the history of aviation and also one with the longest operational life: its history began at the end of the 50s and ended, for some air forces, in mid 2000s. Its unique airframe, with slender fuselage and very little wing surface, made this aircraft ideal as an interceptor. Thanks to the thrust of its General Electric J79-GE-11A afterburning turbojet engine, it could exceed Mach 2,2 with an excellent rate of climb. But it wasn't very maneuverable and difficult to pilot.The F-104G Starfighter was produced on license by several European aviation industries. From the mid 60s, it became the standard interceptor for many NATO countries including Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Turkey. The armament was basically the same found on previous versions, with a 20mm Vulcan cannon and the option to fit under the wings air-to-air missiles, bombs, or additional fuel tanks to increase the airplane's range.With time, reconnaissance duties were added to the traditional interceptor service. The F-104G was therefore fitted with a dedicated "Orpheus" reconnaissance external pod that gave excellent operational results.

Due to its Pratt & Whitney turbojet engine with afterburner, it was able to exceed the then maximum speed of Mach 1.8. It entered service in the late 1950s with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps fighter squadrons to replace the obsolete Vought F7U Cutlass. The F-8E had good operational longevity and was deployed routinely by the US until the Vietnam War. Armed with four 20mm guns installed on the sides of the large front air intake, it could carry a varied weapons load. This capability provided it with a high degree of operational flexibility on missions, utilising air-to-air missiles, rockets and bombs. Parmi les biplans les plus connus de l'Histoire de l'Aviation, il se distinguait par son extraordinaire manœuvrabilité. Il était également robuste et bien armé pour la période historique grâce aux deux mitrailleuses Breda-Safat de 12,7 mm qui tiraient à travers le disque de l'hélice. Le FIAT CR 32 connut son baptême du feu avec l'Aviation Légionnaire, durant la Guerre Civile Espagnole et il prévalut immédiatement sur les monoplans de chasse de fabrication soviétique comme les Polikarpov I-16 qui équipaient les services de la l'Aviation Républicaine. Grâce à son extraordinaire manœuvrabilité et à la formation des pilotes italiens, le CR 32 prévalut aussi sur les avions dont la conception était la plus moderne et la plus actuelle. Produit à plus de 20 000 exemplaires à partir de 1941, il a été, avec le Messerschmitt Bf 109, le chasseur le plus célèbre de la Luftwaffe. Dans les premières versions, comme le Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8, le chasseur était équipé d'un moteur radial BMW 801 D-2 à double étoile avec 14 cylindres de 1 700 Hp, ce qui lui permettait d'atteindre la vitesse maximale de 653 km/h. Au fil du temps, les concepteurs, à partir de la cellule aérodynamique réussie de l'avion, ont réalisé ce qui peut être considéré comme sa plus grande évolution. L'adoption du puissant moteur Junkers Jumo 213 à 12 cylindres et à refroidissement liquide a entraîné la révision du design de l'avion, qui s'est caractérisé par un nez allongé. Le CANT Z.501 "Gabbiano" était un hydravion à coque centrale de reconnaissance maritime conçu par l'ingénieur Filippo Zappata pour les Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico (C.R.D.A.) dans les années 1930. La structure de l'appareil se distinguait par une grande aile haute et des flotteurs latéraux qui le rendaient apte aux opérations de patrouille, de recherche et de sauvetage en mer. Il était équipé d'un moteur Isotta Fraschini Asso XI de 900 CV, lui garantissant une bonne autonomie de vol et une vitesse maximale de 275 km/h. Il commença son activité opérationnelle pendant la guerre civile espagnole, mais fut largement utilisé par la Regia Aeronautica pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans le théâtre d'opérations méditerranéen. Le bombardier en piqué JU-87 est sûrement l’un des avions les plus connus et célèbres de la seconde guerre mondiale. Cette caractéristique de l’avion à aile en forme de « mouette » acquit une grande notoriété au début de la guerre et fut considérée, avec les Divisions Panzer de la Wehrmacht, symbole de la Blitzkrieg. Au cours de la guerre, de nouvelles versions avec des profils opérationnels différents ont été introduites. Le Ju-87G a été développé comme une version « antichar » du célèbre Stuka pour combattre un nombre impressionnant de véhicules blindés ennemis sur le front oriental après 1943. Le célèbre pilote de Stuka Hans Ulrich Rudel a suggéré d’appliquer deux canons Flak 18 de 37 mm logés dans des pods sous les ailes pour mieux contrer cette nouvelle menace.
