Extraordinairement beau d'un point de vue aérodynamique, il était équipé des puissants moteurs en ligne allemands DB 601, produits sur licence par l'industrie aéronautique italienne. Les nouvelles motorisations et la solidité du projet aéronautique ont équipé la Régie Aéronautique d’avions de chasse en mesure de combattre « à égal » avec ceux des alliées. Les performances de vol, comparées aux avions de chasse de la génération précédente équipés de moteurs radiaux tels que le Fiat G-50 et le Macchi Mc-200, étaient en effet bien meilleures. Manœuvrable et rapide (il pouvait atteindre 600 km/h), il était armé dans les premières versions de deux mitrailleuses Breda-SAFAT calibre 12,7 mm installées sur le nez. Le Macchi M.C. 205 Veltro est considéré par beaucoup comme le meilleur chasseur italien de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. L'évolution du "Folgore" a conservé le design aéronautique excellent de son prédécesseur et a été équipée, comme les autres chasseurs de la "série 5", du moteur allemand Daimler-Benz DB605. La solution esthétique de l'arc sera également maintenue et améliorée pour les versions ultérieures. Parmi les Schnellboote les plus célèbres, on trouve ceux qui appartiennent à la version S-38. Près de 100 unités produites, elles mesuraient 35 mètres de long et elles déplaçaient plus de 100 tonnes à pleine charge. The new German army made use of the experiences collected in World War I to realize their modern reconstruction based on motorization. In spite of the limitations of the Treaty of Versailles able commanders introduced civilian vehicles into the army, thus creating a motorized mentality. Moreover, motorcycles were present in nearly all other Wehrmacht units, especially with the reconaissance units and the command, as well as the pioneer and the supply units. Produced in 16.500 units, the BMW R 75 together with the Zijndapp KS 750 formed the nucleus of the motorized units on all theatres of operations, especially in Africa and in Russia. The motorcycle was armored with an MG 34 mounted on the sidecar. On the road, it reached a maximum speed of 92 Km/h.

Thanks to its Continental R975 gasoline engine the tank was able to obtain good performances on all type of terrains. However the most important strength of the tank was its project. Il a été produit dans un nombre important d’unités et a formé l’épine dorsale des forces blindées des États-Unis à cette époque. Il a été produit en plusieurs variantes et versions. La première version produite à grande échelle était le Sherman M4A1 caractérisé par les bords arrondis de la coque supérieure entièrement coulée. Même la tourelle avait un aspect arrondi. Cependant, la force la plus importante du char était son projet. Le Sherman était fiable, bon marché et facile à produire en grand nombre. La version M4A2 était similaire à la précédente mais elle était à moteur diesel avec le moteur General Motors Twin G-41. Au début, le M4A2 était destiné à soutenir les activités de guerre des nations alliées comme l’Union soviétique et la Grande-Bretagne, mais de nombreux chars étaient utilisés par le Corps des Marines des États-Unis. Activement utilisés dans les batailles pour la reconquête des archipels de l’océan Pacifique, ils ont joué un rôle fondamental dans la destruction des puissantes fortifications construites par l’armée japonaise.

The United States Army used GMC M6 from the late 1942 up to the end of World War II on all the operating theaters as the Mediterranean, the European front and the Pacific. The GMC M6 was set up and developed to be anti-tank vehicle but, since the first clashes in Tunisia, its light gun was often ineffective against the most recent German tanks protections.
