Article number: 510002807 Product: 1:48 Junkers JU-87B Stuka Bat.o.Brit. Model Dim.: 22,9 cm "Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary" Super Decals Sheet The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a two-seat dive-bomber/ground-attack aircraft. It first flew in 1935 and made its combat debut in 1936 as part of the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War. The aircraft was easily recognizable by its inverted gull wings and fixed landing gear. The Stuka's design included several innovative features including automatic pull-up dive brakes set under both wings to ensure that the plane recovered from its attack dive, even if the pilot blacked out from the acceleration. It soon became the iconic aircraft of the German ‘Blitzkrieg’ during the first stages of the Second World War, where it provided close air support to the Wehrmacht Panzer Divisions. It was also used by the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain, where it’s weaknesses became apparent in comparison to the faster and better armed, more modern fighters, such as the Hurricane and Spitfire. 510002767

€35.99

Article number: 510002767 Product: 1:48 Macchi MC. 200 Series XXI-XXIII Designed by the celebre engineer Mario Castoldi, the Macchi Mc 200 has represented a significant production evolution of the Italian fighter aircrafts. Compared to the biplanes Fiat CR 32 and Fiat CR 42 that were the main Italian fighters squadrons structure at the beginning of the Second World War, the Macchi Mc 200 distinguished itself, together with its contemporary Fiat G50, for its monoplane configuration and for the entire metallic airframe structure. The 14 radial cylinder Fiat A.74 RC 38 double star engine was able to release 840 HP and allowing the Macchi Mc 200 to reach speeds of 500 Km/H. In comparison with the Allied fighters, it resulted to be underpowered and, neither the less, a lower fire capacity. Two 12,7mm Breda-SAFAT machineguns mounted over the characteristic engine bulged nacelle, were the only onboard armament available. In the latest versions, two additional 7,7mm Breda-SAFAT machineguns were incorporated in the wings. It has been deployed by the Regia Aeronautica on the main Second World War fronts: Africa, Mediterranean Sea, Balkans and in Russia. Detailed Plastic Kit

Article number: 510002816 Product: 1:48 Mirage III E The Dassault Mirage III represents a landmark in French aerospace production. Produced from the early 1960s to equip units of the Armée de l'Air, it proved to be extremely effective right from the start. It quickly became a commercial success and was exported to numerous countries, participating in various conflicts during the 1970s and 1980s. Characterized by its distinctive delta wing, it was capable, thanks to its Snecma Atar engine with afterburner, of exceeding Mach 2 speeds. Following the Mirage IIIC, designed for the interceptor role, a multirole and ground-attack version was developed. This led to the Mirage IIIE, characterized aerodynamically by a lengthening of the fuselage to accommodate improved avionics. Detailed plastic kit   Warning! 510002827

€31.49

The Northrop F-5 was developed during the 1960s to meet the requirements of a number of NATO countries that needed a simple, cheap and easy to maintain multi-role fighter. Its airframe inspired the subsequent introduction of the F-5E Tiger II in the early 1970s. Equipped with two new J85-GE-21 jet engines capable of providing much higher power and thrust than the previous version, it was characterized by a longer and enlarged fuselage. The improved flight performance arising from the new aerodynamic lay-out, the greater operational range and the updated avionics, allowed the Tiger II to be used successfully by numerous air forces. The basic armaments were two 20 mm cannons installed in the nose under the cabin, supported by the capability to deploy a wide set of air-to-air missiles. In addition to its primary fighter role it still however retained extensive ground attack capabilities. Detailed plastic kit

Article number: 510002783 Product: 1:48 Tornado GR.1/IDS - Gulf War Model Dim.: 38,1 cm SUPER DECAL SHEET The multirole Tornado is a twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-sweep wing. This kind of aircraft is the result of a joint development project carried out by British, German and Italian companies. Although during its lifetime it has been used for several purposes (ground attack, electronic combat/reconnaissance, interceptor), its main role has always been to perform low-altitude penetrating strike missions. Tornado can load and use a powerful and varied set of offensive weapons. Thanks to its two powerful afterburning turbofans, the Tornado can reach the max speed of Mach 2.2. The Tornado baptism of fire took place in 1991 during the Gulf War. More in detail, the air campaign of the Gulf War, in which the Italian Tornados IDS took part, began on 17th January. The goal of the aerial bombing campaign was the suppression of military targets and infrastructures.

Article number: 510025766 Product: 1:56 Char B1 Bis The "Char de Bataille" B1 was the main battle tank used by the French army during the Second World War. The original design was conceived in the mid-1920s (many technical solutions adopted, such as the large exposed tracks, are indeed typical of that period), but it began to be deployed to units only in the mid-1930s. Sturdy and massive, it was improved in its "bis" version to enhance performance and operational capability. It was armed with a 47mm turret cannon and a 75mm howitzer installed in a casemate at the front of the tank. Although it was generally a good tank for the period, the Char B1 bis was employed to support infantry divisions rather than in autonomous armored groups that would have provided greater operational flexibility against German Panzer divisions during the 1940 Campaign in France. Article number: 510025754 Product: 1:56 Cromwell MK. IV The Cromwell tank was developed during the Second World War by the British Army to replace the outdated Crusader in the role of "Cruiser Tank." The Cromwell was characterized by its very high speed, which could reach over 60 km/h, and great manoeuvrability. While speed was often limited to prevent excessive wear on the tank's mechanics, especially its suspension, it was balanced with decent armor and good armament. The main 75mm gun mounted in the turret was powerful enough in engagements against similar armored vehicles and could use the same ammunition as other Allied tanks like the American Sherman. Additionally, the Cromwell effectively served in the close support role for infantry. Detailed plastic kit   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 510025768 Product: 1:56 Italienische Panzer & Semoventi The production of Italian tanks during the Second World War focused on the "M" series. The M-13/40 was the most famous and widely used tank of the Royal Army. Equipped with a 47mm cannon, it was notable for its unique track and suspension structure and for the protective "bolted" armor. On its chassis, the self-propelled gun M-40 was also developed. Armed with a 75mm howitzer mounted in a casemate, it was greatly feared by enemy armored vehicles. The best results were achieved through the combined use of M-13/40 tanks accompanied by self-propelled guns, which compensated for the tank's limited firepower. Throughout the war, both tanks and self-propelled guns saw improvements in technical solutions and armament. Detailed plastic kit   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

In February 1943, to replace the now outdated KV tanks, the first prototype models of heavy tanks intended to equip the armored units of the Red Army were produced. The most notable of the tanks developed to counter the new and heavily armored German vehicles, such as the Tiger and the Panther, was the Joseph Stalin JS-2. Armed with the powerful 122 mm cannon installed in a centrally mounted turret, it was characterized by a cast steel hull, heavy armor, and the adoption of a 12-cylinder diesel engine with over 600 HP. The overall weight of the tank was 46 tons. It was employed in the battles that led to the recapture of Ukraine, operational activities in Hungary, and, in the final phase of the conflict, during the Battle of Berlin. It was one of the most powerful tanks used by the Soviet Union during World War II.

Developed during the war, the M-8 Greyhound armored car, characterized by increased protection and heavier armament, represented a turning point for the American army. The vehicle provided greater operational flexibility and could be more effectively used to support ground troops thanks to the 37mm cannon installed in the turret. First used on the Italian front, from Monte Cassino to Anzio, it later participated in the D-Day operations in June 1944. Although the terrain in Normandy proved challenging and demanding during the initial phases of the operation, later on the M-8 was particularly appreciated for its speed of movement and versatility in deployment. The M-20 version was developed from the M8 version for Military Police duties and command vehicle roles. Detailed model kit   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

It was a key player in the Blitzkrieg and the early stages of the Second World War. Over time, in its various produced versions, it adopted a more effective main armament. Starting from the 37mm of the early production series, it was equipped with cannons ranging up to 75mm in caliber, enabling it to counter superior armored vehicles. Throughout the war, it was also upgraded in armor and often fitted with additional protections to increase its battlefield resilience. The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I is undoubtedly one of the most famous tanks of World War II. It was developed to provide the armored divisions of the Wehrmacht with a heavily armored and heavily armed tank to complement the more common medium tanks, Panzer III and Panzer IV, which were no longer effectively countering enemy tanks. Its primary armament consisted of the renowned and lethal long-barreled 88mm KwK 36 L/56 anti-tank gun. Installed in the turret and protected by a heavy 120mm shielding, it could penetrate the armor of any contemporary enemy vehicle even at long distances. Deployed on all major theatres of operation, it played an active role in German military operations in Normandy and the Western Front. Despite facing issues of reliability and deployment, the heavy tank, when operated by skilled crews, was always greatly feared by the Allied forces. Detailed Plastic Kit   Warning! It was developed during the ’20s and ‘30s by Rheinmetall and Krupp, one of the main artillery companies in Germany, with a view to optimizing resources and technological capabilities within the parameters imposed by the Treaty of Versailles. From 1933 onwards, Germany's rearmament planning became ever more ambitious, with a particularly significant increase in the production of howitzers and field cannons. The SFH18 had a simple and reliable structure with a maximum range of 13.5 km. It could be divided into two sections and towed by horses, or more often during the war, by half-tracks. The SFH18 had a seven-man crew. A 105 mm calibre version was developed on the same carriage, (sK 10,5 cm)which was characterized by the longer barrel, but was produced in few specimens as much heavier than the standard 105 mm leFH18, which was the field artillery cannon supplied to the Wehrmacht. The Grumman Corporation developed and designed the A-6A, based on U.S. Navy specifications, a twin jet-engine all-weather medium attack aircraft able to operate from the American aircraft carriers. The so called "Intruder" was characterized by a sturdy and robust fuselage and for the two seats side by side cabin configuration for the pilot and the weapons officer. The A-6E was the definitive attack version of the "Intruder" improved in avionics and attack systems, in particular in the version named TRAM, from the acronym of the laser target designation system, that allowed to be more effective to perform "all weather" missions and to be more lethal in detection and suppression of enemy targets. Thanks to its hardpoints under the wing the A-6E Intruder was able to load an impressive offensive armament as conventional bombs, Paveway laser-guided bombs, Harpoon anti-ship missiles, HARM anti-radar missiles. It actively participated either from ground bases or from the carriers of the U.S. Navy, to Desert Storm campaign combat missions. Detailed Plastic Kit of model A-6E Tram Intruder in scale 1:700

Within the overall strategic planning of the acclaimed operation "Overlord", the code name for the Allied landings on the beaches of Normandy, the French village of Sainte-Mère-Église played a key role. On battle plan maps it was rightly identified as an important road junction that the defending Germans could have used to carry out rapid counter attacks directed towards the Utah and Omaha beacheads. It was therefore strategically imortant to attack and quickly occupy the village with American airborne troops to support the landings. In the early hours of June 6, 1944, paratroopers of the famous 82nd and 101st US Airborne Divisions secured the small French town following a period of intense fighting. The contribution made by the American paratroops has been widely recognised and celebrated in numerous movies from "The Longest Day" made in the 1960s, to the most recent "warmovies". This major offensive launched by the Soviet Red Army, after passing the German defensive lines on the Oder River, moved directly to the capital of the Third Reich. The city itself was defended by Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, "Hitlerjugend" and "Volkssturm" soldiers, and was the setting for the final and most fierce clashes of the war. The Soviet forces, led by Marshal Zhukov and Marshal Konev, with an overwhelming superiority of soldiers, vehicles and artillery, forced the surrender and capitulation of the city on May 2, 1945. The Reichstag building, seat of the Reich parliament, had a huge symbolic value and was the stage for the final acts of the conflict in Europe. The Red Army soldier raising the Soviet flag on the ruins of the Reichstag at the end of the battle of Berlin, is one of the most iconic images of the Second World War. The battles of Ligny and Quatre Bras were only the proem of the most famous and well-known battle of the military history. A date and a place: 18th June 1815, Waterloo. Wellington considered the farm of La Haie Sainte a strategic point of his defensive line. In the afternoon, Napoleon ordered to Marshal Ney to launch the assault to the farm in order to obtain a significant outpost. The farm was strenuously defended by Allied troops, that had fortified the buildings since the morning. The clash was fierce and the French troops, supported by artillery, were able to conquer La Haie Sainte only in the late afternoon. At 7 p.m., thanks to the strategic value of the farm, the French Imperial Guard can start the assault but it is too late.
