Upon the arrival of the German force in North Africa under the able command of Generalleutnant Erwin Rommel, intense combat seesawed across the hot desert sands of Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. Dragon already has some terrific 1/35 scale kits representing tanks and self-propelled guns that served with the DAK – recently re-released as convenient assortments – and now Dragon is offering a collection of German figures that nicely accompany those vehicles. Indeed, commemorating the start of the Desert War 80 years ago are five 1/35 scale figure sets in Dragon’s collection. This quintet of Dragon figure sets includes some classics and huge favorites, many of which have been difficult to get hold of in recent years. Each 1/35 scale figure has historically correct details such as uniforms and weapons, while their lifelike poses are vivid yet versatile. Crew Since First World War the Italian Regia Marina was deserved great attention to the development of small and rapid vessels generally armed with torpedoes. The moto torpedo boats, more known as MAS, were civilian vessels variants. The results achieved during First World War were remarkable with the sinking, on behalf of Commandant Luigi Rizzo, of the Austro-Hungarian Marine cruiser Wien and Szent István. Neither less were more suitable for confined seas nor shallow water like the Adriatic Sea, the Italian Marine continued working to improve the performance of the small but fast moto torpedoes. The MAS 500, equipped gasoline engines Isotta-Fraschini, build during Second World War and more powerful and reliable, were deployed both as moto torpedoes and anti-submarine platforms for depth charges dropping. It entered service in the early eighties. The M-923 has an extremely sturdy structure and excellent off-road features, which are necessary to secure the flow of material to the front line combat units. Based on this chassis many versions have been produced: wrecking trucks, tank trucks, mobile maintenance and communication trucks. The A-1 version is characteristic because of its large off-road tires which have earned it the nick-name "big-foot". During its operational use, and in particular in the most recent military campaigns in which it was employed as Iraq and Afghanistan, the "Big Foot" has often been modified with the addition of "home made" protections to reduce the damages caused by the fire of light weapons. However, the personalization of the vehicles, made "on field" by the crews, were possible thanks to the excellent platform offered by-M-923 trucks.

The Zündapp. with a production total of 18.000 units due to its structure which guaranteed easy and economical handling - was considered one of the most modern accomplishments of the age in the field of motorcycle construction. Because of its extraordinary qualities, the Zündapp could follow and escort the tank units of the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS to all theatres of operations, especially in Russia, since the side car was even furnished with heating for hands and feet of the man. It was developed to provide the armored divisions of the Wehrmacht with a heavily armored and heavily armed tank to complement the more common medium tanks, Panzer III and Panzer IV, which were no longer effectively countering enemy tanks. Its primary armament consisted of the renowned and lethal long-barreled 88mm KwK 36 L/56 anti-tank gun. Installed in the turret and protected by a heavy 120mm shielding, it could penetrate the armor of any contemporary enemy vehicle even at long distances. Deployed on all major theatres of operation, it played an active role in German military operations in Normandy and the Western Front. The new biplane single-seat fighter had - as its predecessor - the fixed landing gear and the open cabin but was equipped with important innovations such as the alloy and steel frame covered by canvass and metal paneling. Thanks to Its supercharged air-cooled Fiat A.74 radial engine the Fiat C.R. 42 was able to reach 400 Km / h. It had an extraordinary maneuverability, much appreciated by the Italian pilots, but suffered the "biplane " configuration limits. It was able to successful engage the Gloster Gladiators, but it was soon outclassed by faster and heavily armed monoplanes as the Hawker Hurricane and the Supermarine Spitfire. Several Fiat C.R. 42, together with G.50 fighters and BR.20, CANT Z 1007 bombers has been used by the Italian Regia Aeronautica during the Battle of Britain within the "Corpo Aereo Italiano".
